Azerbaijan starts importing chicken meat from one more country 

Azerbaijan imported 23,774 tons of chicken meat worth $37.835 million in January-October 2022, respectively, up 10% and 30% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Below are the countries that exported chicken meat to Azerbaijan in the reporting period:

- Ukraine – 13,120 tons (-18%) worth $19.1 million (-7%);

- Russia – 5,025 tons (+44%) worth $10.237 million (+92.5%);

- Belarus – 3,455 tons (+2.4 times) worth $5.439 million (+2.3 times);

- Georgia – 2,059 tons (+5.8 times) worth $2.942 million (+5.6 times);

- Moldova – 64 tons (-84.3%) worth $93,040 (-77%).

This year, 20 tons of chicken meat worth $8,000 were supplied from Iran for the first time in the last 11 years (note: available official statistics on foreign trade are as of 2011)
