Azerbaijan’s olive imports from Italy soar

In January-Aprel 2024, Azerbaijan imported 475 tons of olives worth $1.8 million, up 31% and 32%, respectively, year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 199 tons of olives (-7%) from Türkiye for $630,200 (+36%), 221 tons (+92%) from Spain for $435,000 (+29%), 22 tons (no imports were made a year ago) from Hungary for $56,000, 12.86 tons (+16 times) from Italy for $34,000 (+7 times), and 20 tons (-12%) from Greece for $23,400 (-60%).
Türkiye accounted for 46.8% of the 1,915 tons of olives imported by Azerbaijan from nine countries and Spain's share was for 46.5% in 2023.
