Azerbaijan resumes potato imports from 3 countries

Over 11 months of last year, Azerbaijan imported 161,395 tons of potatoes worth $39.334 million, respectively, up 38.58% and 38.19% from the previous year, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, supplies increased in value terms by 38.19%, in quantitative terms - by 38.58%.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 147,027.77 tons of potatoes from Iran for $35,677,550, 6,500.96 tons for $1,633,080 from Turkey, 6,291.45 tons for $1,565,850 from Georgia, 1,346.11 tons for $373,500 from Ukraine, 126.35 tons worth $47,570 from Russia, 54 tons worth $21,950 from Egypt, 48.9 tons worth $14,670 from Pakistan and 0.01 ton worth $30 from France.

Azerbaijan resumed potato supply from Ukraine after a break of one year and five months, from France after 1 year and four months, and from Egypt - after a two-year break.
