Azerbaijan resumes grape imports from Uzbekistan

In January-February 2025, Azerbaijan imported 48 tons (4 times more YoY) of fresh grapes worth $68,360 (4.5 times more YoY), Report informs, citing the country's State Statistics Committee
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 40.67 tons of fresh grapes from Uzbekistan for $61,000, 5.91 tons (-32%) from Peru for $5,910 (-32%), and 1.44 tons (-61%) from South Africa for $1,440 (-76%).
Azerbaijan has resumed grape supplies from Uzbekistan after an 11-year break.
In 2024, 89% of the 736 tons of grapes imported to Azerbaijan came from Iran.
