Azerbaijan may start supplying wheat to Israel in 2025

Israel will provide Azerbaijan with advanced agrotechnical technologies for growing wheat for its purchase in Azerbaijan already in 2025.

Report informs citing Israeli media that during the visit of Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman to Azerbaijan on April 22, one of the issues discussed was the export of Azerbaijani wheat to Israel.

As the newspaper notes, Azerbaijan does not grow enough wheat for export at this stage, but the country is planning a large-scale project to expand wheat production. Once the project is complete, Azerbaijan will grow enough wheat for domestic consumption and its export abroad.

Israeli Minister of Agriculture Oded Forer is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan in two weeks with a group of Israeli specialists in agriculture. While the main topic of their visit will be wheat, they will also discuss other issues. Israel plans to develop and promote agriculture in Azerbaijan with the help of all kinds of advanced technologies.
