Azerbaijan invites Turkic states to produce agro products under single brand

Azerbaijan offered the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) the production of agricultural products under a single brand, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry.

The proposal was made by the Agriculture Minister of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov at the III meeting of the OTS Ministers of Agriculture in Kazakhstan.

Majnun Mammadov proposed launching a pilot project related to the production of agricultural and food products under a single OTS brand and exploring the possibility of using a common agricultural insurance system within the organization.

The minister drew attention to the fact that President Ilham Aliyev declared the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation as a ‘green energy zone,’ and these territories have great agricultural potential. He emphasized that Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with friendly countries to restore and develop agriculture in the liberated territories.
