Azerbaijan hazelnut exports to Germany and Türkiye soar

In January 2025, Azerbaijan exported 2,025 tons of hazelnuts worth $14 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

This is 35% more in value terms and 14% more in quantity than the indicator for the same period in 2024.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold 891 tons (-13%) of hazelnuts worth $5.9 million (+7%) to Russia, 608 tons (+2.4 times) worth $4.7 million (+2.4 times) to Germany, 174 tons (+58%) worth $1.34 million (+66%) to Italy, 124 tons (+2.8 times) worth $805,000 (+2.6 times) to Türkiye, and 100 tons (+67%) worth $655,000 (+57%) to Switzerland.

Russia accounted for 57% of 20,170 tons of hazelnuts exported from Azerbaijan in 2024.
