Azerbaijan greatly increases almond supplies from Australia

In January-July 2023, Azerbaijan imported 466 tons of almonds worth $2.5 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period in 2022, imports increased by 48% in value and by 63% in physical terms.
The US was the main exporter of almonds to Azerbaijan during this period - 439 tons (+71%) worth $2.3 million (+53%). It was followed by Australia - 20 tons (+4 times) for $129,000 (+3.8 times), Türkiye - 2.91 tons (+7.4%) for $15,000 (-17%), Iran - 2.14 tons (+10.3%) for $14,980 (+2.5%), Luxembourg - 0.68 tons (+79%) for $13,980 (+2 ,5 times).
In 2022, Azerbaijan imported 741 tons of almonds from 11 countries, 91% of which came from the US.
