Azerbaijan begins importing mandarins from 2 countries

In 2024, Azerbaijan imported 12,305 tons of mandarins, valued at $8.71 million, representing a 44% increase both in terms of volume and value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
In the mentioned period, Azerbaijan received mandarins from:
- Türkiye: 8,346 tons (+5%) worth $5.86 million (+4%);
- Cyprus: 2,474 tons worth $1.75 million;
- Egypt: 305.5 tons (+2.2 times) worth $240,400 (+2.3 times);
- Pakistan: 257 tons (-15%) worth $206,000 (-15%);
- Georgia: 86 tons (+2.2 times) worth $60,200 (+2.2 times).
In 2024, these supplies were made from Australia (0.01 tons worth $60) and Cyprus for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
Overall, Azerbaijan imported 8,528 tons of mandarins from 9 countries, of which 93.6% came from Türkiye.
