German-Azerbaijan Foreign Trade Chamber expects nearly 5% growth in agrarian sector

"Agriculture, hunting and fishery are expected to grow by 4.7% in 2019-2020," Report informs citing the Market Analysis Azerbaijan 2019 publication of German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan). 

According to the document, the abovementioned spheres grew by 4.6% in 2015-2018: "In 2019-2020, the government expected about 4.7% growth. Agriculture, hunting and fishery met approximately 5.5% of value added of the country and provided jobs to 1.8 million people, covering 2/5 of work force in the country. The World Bank said in its report that Azerbaijan may triple production of food products through effective use of its opportunities.
