STA: After year and half, Karabakh will open its doors to tourists from all over world

Azerbaijanis themselves invest in tourism development in Karabakh, as they want to do something useful for their country. The Azerbaijani government is preparing a package of documents that provide certain concessions for investors, he said.

According to him, the liberated territories have great tourism potential: "Work is already underway in several places to establish tourism infrastructure.

"We also create investment conditions to attract investors from other countries. However, it should be understood that the war ended some time ago, and the demining process is still going on in those areas.

"We work with several government agencies to ensure the complete safety of citizens. By the end of this year, we plan to launch the tourism infrastructure in Sugovushan, Tartar district. There is a reservoir around which we started creating a tourist zone.

We are doing everything for the IDPs to return to these lands as soon as possible. This is very important for tourism too."
