"We are working to ensure that flights carried out this summer to Azerbaijan, will become regular," Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Association (AzTA) Nahid Bagirov told Report.
He noted that negotiations are currently underway in this direction: "For example, Flynas - one of the largest airlines in Saudi Arabia - carries out about 10 flights a week to Azerbaijan. Our main goal is to ensure that these flights will be regular."
Bagirov stressed that Arab tourists spend more money in Azerbaijan compared to other foreign citizens: "They also make trips to the regions of Azerbaijan. That's very good. Currently, Azerbaijan is mainly visited by middle-class Arab tourists. We should try to attract tourists with high income."
