According to him, the number of people travelling from Azerbaijan to Georgia in January-October increased by 10.3% to 1,205,802.
Russia heads the list with 1,249,072 people who travelled to Georgia in the first ten months. The second place was taken by Armenia with 1,063,389 people.
In October, totally 719,140 foreigners visited Georgia, up 9% by contrast to a year ago. 407,221 of travelers were tourists.
In January-October 2018, 7,507,517 people travelled to Georgia, up 11% from 2017. Of this, 4,719,323 people were tourists.
Chogovadze also noted that Georgia’s revenues from tourism in January-September grew by 20.5% or $438 million to $2.571 billion.
