EU to continue supporting agritourism

EU-funded projects in Azerbaijan also cover the tourism sector, Reiner Freund, the Manager of the EU project "Encouraging agritourism, agribusiness and food production through consulting services, creating and developing new value chains," said at the press conference on the Festival of Traditional Food in Shaki.

He said public investment in agritourism is a priority.

"Sustainability is ensured in such cases. We are cooperating with the Agrarian Credit and Development Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture. We are working with them in connection with the mechanism of supporting agrarian tourism, opportunities of assisting to their diversity and differences," he said.

Traditional Food Festival is taking place today, September 4, in Azerbaijan's Shaki, as part of the project "Encouraging agritourism, agribusiness and food production through consulting services, creating and developing new value chains."
