Azerbaijan soon to open official tourism office in China

Azerbaijan plans to open an official tourism office in China by the end of this year, Kanan Guluzada, acting head of the Azerbaijani State Tourism Agency's Office, told Report.

According to Kanan Guluzada, the Chinese market has been identified as one of the priority directions for the future: "Decisions are being made at the country's leadership level in this direction, international agreements are being signed, and tasks related to the tourism industry are being assigned. Currently, technical and financial issues are being finalized, and the opening of our official tourism office in China is planned for the end of the year."

Guluzada stated that within the framework of the China Ready strategy, special guides are being prepared for Chinese tourists, and work is being done on online platforms and print products adapted for them.

"This shows how seriously Azerbaijan approaches the Chinese market. Currently, our tourism offices operate in Israel (Tel Aviv) and Russia (Moscow). An office will also be opened in Türkiye (Istanbul) in the near future. After that, China will be the next step," he added.
