Azerbaijan joins 121st session of UN Tourism's Executive Council

Azerbaijan was represented at the 121st session of UN Tourism's Executive Council held in Barcelona, Spain on June 10-11, Report informs referring to AzerTac.
The function, chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, welcomed delegations from over 30 member countries.
Speaking at the event, Kanan Gasimov, Head of Administration at the State Tourism Agency, highlighted the COP29 scheduled to be held in Baku this November.
He provided insight into the cooperation with UN Tourism regarding the broader representation of tourism issues within the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention (COP29).
He emphasized the pivotal role of tourism in the COP29 climate change policy.
