Azerbaijan sees slight increase in population

The population of Azerbaijan has increased by 6,769 people or 0.1% since the beginning of the year and reached 10,187,539 people as of March 1, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee, 54.5% of the population lives in urban areas, while 45.5% lives in rural areas. Men made up 49.8% of the population, while the rest 50.2% were women.
