Zarif called on Iranian Foreign Ministry staff to continue work after his resignation

Baku. 26 February. REPORT.AZ/ Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on all staff of the ministry in country and abroad to continue work after his resignation, IRNA reports citing the Minister.

Report informs that Zarif has thus responded to the intention of a number of diplomats to step down after his resignation.

"I emphasize for all the brothers and sisters in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: continue to fulfill your duties in order to protect the country and avoid such actions [resignation]," he said.

Notably, Zarif announced his resignation the day before.
