Zakharova: No specific result on exchange of Bout for Whelan and Greiner

There is no specific result yet on the exchange of Viktor Bout for the Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan between Russia and the United States, Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said, according to Report.

"The mutual exchange of Russian and American citizens in places of detention on the territory of the two countries was once discussed by the presidents of Russia and the United States. They instructed the relevant authorized structures to carry out negotiations. They are being conducted by the competent departments. No specific result has yet been achieved," she declared.

At the same time, Zakharova stressed that the interests of both parties should be taken into account in the negotiation process.
