Zakharova: Moscow and Yerevan never discussed withdrawal of Russian base from Armenia

Moscow and Yerevan are in constant dialogue, but withdrawing the Russian base from the territory of Armenia has never been discussed between the parties, the Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, answering a question from News.Ru, Report informs.

"We have regular dialogue with Yerevan in all directions, through all departments that are, so to speak, designated to discuss this topic, and this topic has never been raised on a practical level," Zakharova said.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry did not rule out that discussions on this topic were held at the expert level, but not at the official level:

"Perhaps it was discussed within communities or public forums or expert circles in Armenia, that's another question. But in our interaction with Yerevan, this issue has not been raised."
