Serbian President's plane departs Baku, heads to Moscow for Victory Day events

The plane of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić departed from Baku en route to Moscow, Report informs via Russian media.

The plane carrying Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to Moscow to take part in the Victory Day celebrations made an emergency landing in Baku.

Report informs via Serbian media due to the closure of Russian airspace, Vučić's plane cannot continue its journey to Moscow. At the moment, the aircraft carrying Vučić is waiting for permission to proceed to the Russian Federation.

Earlier, AZAL reported that Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) flights J2-181 (Domodedovo Airport) and J2-807 (Vnukovo Airport) from Baku to Moscow, Russia, are delayed due to airspace closures at the destination.

Vučić plans to take part in events in Moscow marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9. He has also scheduled a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.
