Verdict on case of 2022 terror attack in Istanbul expected on April 26

Istanbul’s 13th Criminal Court will rule on the terror attack on the tourist Istiklal Street on April 26, Report informs referring to TASS.

The state prosecution demands that the perpetrator of the terror attack, Ahlam al-Bashir, be sentenced to a prison term of 3,009 years. At the hearing in court, she refused to defend herself, saying that she “had nothing to say.” The court decided to extend the arrest of the ten accused and postponed the hearing until April 26, when it is planned to announce the decision on the case.

As a result of the terror attack on November 13, 2022, six people were killed and 99 injured. According to investigators, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party and its Syrian branch, the People’s Defense Forces, were involved in the violence.
