US names Türkiye important NATO ally

The administration of US President Joe Biden continues to consider Ankara an important NATO ally, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the US National Security Council, said at a briefing for journalists, Report informs.

He noted that the US reserves the right of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to comment on its statements.

He emphasized that the Turkish leader made a positive contribution, in particular, to the implementation of the Black Sea grain initiative.
