Ukrainian army recaptures Irpin in Kyiv Oblast

Tanks of the Russian army entered the city of Irpin, Kyiv Oblast of Ukraine, today from the direction of the town of Bucha. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to drive the occupiers out of the city, Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushin said, Report informs.
“We have Irpin! Today, Irpin is 100% under our control,” the mayor stressed.
Markushin asked residents to stay at home because of the ongoing shelling in the city. Additional troops have been sent to help the Ukrainian military in Irpin.
