UK appoints new ambassador to Armenia

The UK has appointed a new ambassador to Armenia. John Gallagher, who has headed the diplomatic mission in Yerevan since 2020, will be replaced by Alexandra Cole, Report informs referring to Armenian media citing a statement by the UK government.
The ambassador will take up her duties in September 2025.
Previously, Cole served as deputy head of mission in Georgia, then in Qatar.
Before her new appointment, she headed the emergency planning department in the Middle East and North Africa region.
