A fire has swept through Novorossiysk, located on the Black Sea coast of southern Russia. The blaze, which began at the popular Romantik and Golubaya Volna (Blue Wave) holiday resorts, has left two people injured and forced the evacuation of over 500 individuals.

What started as a localized incident quickly escalated, prompting local authorities to declare a state of emergency as the fire spread from an initial 22 hectares to a staggering 62 hectares.
In response to the crisis, Russian emergency services have mobilized firefighting equipment. An IL-76 aircraft has been deployed alongside Ka-32 and Mi-8 helicopters.
