Türkiye intends to expand its logistics bases

Turkish authorities will create six logistics bases in the United States and Europe to improve the export of goods, services, and performance in global markets, Report informs via Yeni Şafak newspaper.

According to the newspaper, a feasibility study is currently underway to deploy logistics bases outside Türkiye. They might be located in Central Asia and Africa.

“Non-domestic logistics distribution networks are being created in Türkiye, which were initiated to improve the export of both goods and services. Thus, infrastructure facilities will be created to stabilize Türkiye’s export performance in important markets,” the paper clarified.

Four of the bases will be introduced in Europe, and two in the United States.

It is planned that thanks to the bases, exporters will save on additional logistics costs and commissions, including when paying for brokerage services.
