Türkiye against spread of Islamophobia in Europe, parliament speaker says

Türkiye is against the political poisoning of Europe with destructive ideas such as xenophobia and Islamophobia, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmus said at the meeting with Estonian President Alar Karis, Report informs.

The speaker stated that Türkiye cooperates closely with Europe for this purpose.

Kurtulmus also mentioned that Türkiye does not accept the double standards of the European Union: "We express it on all platforms. Europe needs security and cooperation. The Russian-Ukrainian war, which is already in its third year, proves this. Türkiye is in favor of ending the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine fairly."
