Vahida Atalay, one of the “responsible persons” of the PKK terrorist group, was killed in an anti-terror operation conducted by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) in the Syrian city of Ayn al-Arab, Report informs via Sky News Arabia.
Under the code name “Sorhin Cele," she organized and directed various terrorist attacks in Iraq and Syria.
According to information, Vahida Atalay also played an important role in the women's wing of the YPG in Syria.
Since 2006, she has participated in a number of terrorist attacks against Turkish security forces. Atalay worked in Iraq as part of the PKK terrorist group in 2006–2014. In 2014, she moved to Syria and carried out armed activities in the Qamishli, Ayn al-Arab, and Resulayn regions.
In 2022, she was one of the leaders of the YPJ (female terrorist group) in Ayn al-Arab.
