Tbilisi to host meeting of defense ministers of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Türkiye

Irakli Chikovani, the Georgian Minister of Defense, and Ramil Usubov, the Secretary of the Security Council of Azerbaijan, engaged in discussions on defense cooperation in a recent meeting in Tbilisi.

Report informs that the session underscored the strategic significance of the partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The dialogue confirmed that the defense collaboration between the two nations is being actively pursued as per the yearly agenda. The meeting also highlighted the critical role of the trilateral cooperation framework involving Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia.

Chikovani announced that Georgia is set to host the annual tripartite meeting of defense ministers within the year.

Furthermore, Georgia affirmed its commitment to fostering peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
