Sybiha: Russia must submit memorandum before second round of negotiations

Russia must provide Ukraine with a memorandum before the second round of negotiations so that the upcoming meeting of delegations is substantive and objective, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, Report informs referring to Ukrainian media.

He noted that Kyiv is interested in continuing negotiations with Moscow, since it wants to end the full-scale war by the end of this year. Ukraine is also interested in establishing a temporary truce, he said.

"We confirmed this during the last meetings of our delegations with the Russian side. Following the previous meeting in Istanbul, Ukraine has already conveyed to the Russian side its vision of further steps, further peace efforts, in particular regarding the parameters of the future truce," he added.
