Strong Armenia bloc rep Kazinyan arrested

David Kazinyan, a representative of the Strong Armenia bloc (the party of Tashir City Council leader Samvel Karapetyan), has been arrested, lawyer Aram Vardevanyan, Report informs via Armenian media.

Kazinyan was previously detained after the Central Election Commission stripped him of his immunity.

"The judge of the Anti-Corruption Court decided to arrest David Kazinyan for two months," he said, noting that the defense intends to appeal the court's decision.

The lawyer previously stated that the criminal case against Kazinyan concerns "preparations to give a bribe."
