Several countries stop importing grain from Ukraine

In June-July of this year, over 30 countries stopped importing grain from Ukraine, the UN Comtrade platform said, Report informs.

According to previously published data, developed countries were the main buyers of Ukrainian grain in June-July 2022, accounting for 81% of all supplies.

During this period, the volume of supplies decreased by 43%, as grain worth $771 million was exported to the markets against $1.3 billion a year ago. Albania, Bangladesh, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Georgia, Denmark, Djibouti, India, Jordan, Iran, Yemen, Canada, Congo, Costa Rica, Mauritania, Madagascar, Namibia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, USA, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Montenegro, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and Japan – are out of the list of exporters of Ukrainian grain.

At the same time, Ukraine attracted new partners last summer - Latvia, Luxembourg, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, and Estonia. They bought $2.3 million of grain in June-July, which is 3% of all sales.

Romania, which has become the largest buyer of Ukrainian grain, has not yet disclosed information on further grain deals.
