Russia, Tajikistan to create joint air defense system

Russia and Tajikistan are creating a joint air defense system, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said in a meeting with his Tajik counterpart Sherali Mirzo in Dushanbe, Report informs.
“In order to increase the reliability of the protection of the state border in the airspace, we have prepared a draft agreement on the creation of a Joint Regional Air Defense System of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan. I propose to sign this agreement at the end of the meeting,” Shoygu said.
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu arrived in Dushanbe to attend the meeting of the Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
