Russia sees over 21,000 new COVID cases

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia has surged by 21,155 over the past day, to 10,723,305 since the pandemic outset, Report informs, citing the Operational Headquarters.
In the absolute expression, the growth in the number of new coronavirus patients has reached its maximum since December 28, 2021. In relative terms, it made 0.2%.
Within the past 24 hours, Russia reported 740 deaths from COVID-19, in all, 319,172 since the pandemic began.
Meanwhile, 25,984 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the total recoveries to 9,784,348.
