Russia registers new maximum COVID-19 death rate

The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia has increased by 1,241 per day against 1,235 the day before, totaling 254,167. This is a new maximum since the beginning of the pandemic, Report informs, quoting the report of the federal operational headquarters for combating the disease.
During the day, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases increased by 39,256. The total number of cases exceeded 9 million, amounting to 9,031,851. In relative terms, the increase totaled 0.44%.
The number of Russians, who recovered from the coronavirus, increased by 33,803 per day, to 7,754, 764. The proportion of the discharged patients, according to the headquarters, is 85.9% of the total number of those infected.
