Russia registers nearly 204,000 coronavirus infection per day

During the day, 203,766 cases of COVID-19 were detected across Russia, 729 people died, Report informs, citing the operational headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus infection.

Some 18,597 people were hospitalized per day. "As of February 12, 2022, the number of hospitalizations per day in the Russian Federation amounted to 18,597 people and decreased by 3.55% compared to the previous day," the report says.

It is specified that the increase in hospitalizations occurred in 48 regions, the situation remained unchanged in one region. A decrease in the number of hospitalizations is observed in 36 regions of Russia. The spread of the omicron strain today is recorded in 84 regions of the country.
