Russia records over 24,000 COVID cases per day

Over the past day, medical experts recorded 24,072 new cases of coronavirus infection in Russia, Report informs referring to Russian media.

The total number of registered cases in the country has reached 17,739,462 since the pandemic onset.

To date, a total of 367,013 people died due to COVID-related health complications in Russia, including 395 deaths seen over the past day. The number of recoveries is 16,606,691.

More than 480.08 million people globally have contracted the virus since the onset of the pandemic. The deadly pathogen has claimed over 6.14 million lives, though unable to cope with 414.49 million patients, who managed to recover.
