Russia asks Armenia for clarification on Yerevan’s participation in joint exercises with NATO

Russia has asked Armenia for clarification about Yerevan’s participation in joint exercises with NATO, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“We will decide on our reaction upon receipt of a response. Of course, Yerevan’s refusal to conduct maneuvers through the CSTO on its territory is regrettable and does not contribute to enhancing regional security,” the diplomat added.
Earlier Armenian Defense Minister's Spokesman Aram Torosyan announced that the Armenian military would take part in two exercises organized by the US Army Command in Europe this year: KFOR (Kosovo Forces) and Sabre Junction. They must pass under the auspices of NATO.
