The trade turnover between Moscow and Ankara last year increased by 86%, this year the positive trend continues. Relations between Russia and Türkiye are developing at a good pace, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi, according to Report's Russian bureau.
"The pace of development of relations between Russia and Türkiye, gained with your direct participation, is maintained. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that last year our trade turnover increased by more than 80 percent - by 86%, I think. In the first half of this year, the positive trend continues," the Russian leader said.
Vladimir Putin also stressed the steady development of relations between Moscow and Ankara in the field of energy.
"We are moving very confidently in the field of energy, agreements have been reached between the main suppliers and consumers on both sides. I hope that this will be the case, in the near future we will witness this," the Russian president said.
