Putin, Lukashenko discuss Ukraine situation

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko discussed the situation in Ukraine over the phone, the Kremlin's press service informs, Report says with reference to RIA Novosti.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed support for Russia's activities in Ukraine, the report adds.
The presidents also touched upon the second round of the meeting between Russian and Ukrainian officials. Putin and Lukashenko agreed to continue contacts. Lukashenko said the West wants to "stifle" Russia and Belarus, so the conflict in Ukraine must be long-lasting.
