Putin discusses situation in Afghanistan at Security Council meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed the situation in Afghanistan with permanent members of the Security Council, Report informs, citing the official website of the Kremlin.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Federation Council Chair Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Secretary Nikolay Patrushev, and other officials.
"We are discussing the situation related to developments in Afghanistan. We continue our consultations with partners and ensure the exchange of information," Putin noted.
According to him, the discussions will cover diplomatic, military, and humanitarian issues.
