Presidents of Türkiye, Turkmenistan highly appreciate cooperation between their countries

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper wrote, Report informs via TASS.

As the newspaper writes, during the conversation, the presidents highly appreciated the development of the Turkmen-Turkish dialogue based on the principles of trust and mutual respect, confirming the invariable commitment of the two countries to the comprehensive expansion of established ties. Berdimuhamedov noted that strengthening long-term cooperation with Türkiye in various fields is one of the important vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. He noted Erdogan's personal contribution to the development of the bilateral partnership.

The head of Turkmenistan also thanked his Turkish counterpart for the new Turkish-made TOGG electric vehicles presented to him and the national leader of the Turkmen people, chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as a gift. Handing over the keys to these cars took place on the opening day of the city of Arkadag, built on the initiative of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the smart city concept, and coincided with his birthday (June 29, he turned 66).

The President of Türkiye congratulated the leader on the commissioning of the facilities of the first stage of construction of Arkadag. Erdogan noted that the demonstration of Turkish electric cars as part of the solemn opening ceremony of Arkadag was a pleasant surprise for him. In his opinion, this event once again demonstrated the strength of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples.
