Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has pardoned 15 convicts, Report informs referring to the Georgian media.
Of these, nine people, including two women, were released from further serving their sentences in a penitentiary institution, according to the Presidential Administration.
Another six convicts had the remaining term of serving their sentences reduced.
Since the beginning of the year, Zurabishvili has pardoned more than 60 people. As a rule, this happens on the occasion of any public holidays. This time, the pardon is timed to Giorgoba, St. George’s Day, which was celebrated in the country this week.
