Natalia Gavrilița stressed that the neutrality principle is enshrined in the Constitution of Moldova.
Moldovan President Maya Sandu already signed an application to join the European Union on March 3.
According to its Constitution, Moldova is a neutral republic, but since 1994 Chisinau has been cooperating with NATO within an individual partnership plan.
There is a NATO information center in Chisinau. In December 2017, a NATO Liaison Office was opened in the Moldovan capital.
There are media reports that Russia might attack Moldova after Ukraine.
