Peskov: Russia highly appreciates Azerbaijan’s position on inadmissibility of politicization of sports

Moscow has repeatedly declared the inadmissibility of the politicization of sports and highly appreciates the similar position of Azerbaijan’s leadership, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told journalists, Report informs.
“We highly appreciate the position of the leadership of Azerbaijan, we share it. We have repeatedly stated that the politicization of sports is inadmissible,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
Earlier, the Non-Aligned Movement, following a ministerial meeting in Baku, adopted a special declaration on the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
