Pashinyan says he would welcome Armenia's exit from CSTO

Armenia has no intention of returning to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and is awaiting its formal withdrawal, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in parliament, Report informs via local media outlets.

"I can say precisely that we will not resume our activities in the CSTO. Discussions are ongoing within the organization, and its charter also provides for the possibility of expelling a member state. If a decision is made to remove Armenia from the CSTO, I would be very pleased. This would free us from the dilemma of whether to leave or stay. Our interest in the CSTO has been exhausted," he added.
