Pashinyan, Macron discuss economic cooperation and regional peace

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron have held a meeting at the Élysée Palace.
According to Report, citing Armenian media, the sides stressed the importance of developing economic cooperation as a priority area of bilateral relations.
In this context, they highlighted Armenia's consistent efforts to diversify its economy.
Pashinyan said construction of the Bargushad tunnel, which will form part of the strategic North-South transport corridor, has entered a key stage. The importance of launching the main construction work soon was also emphasized.
Macron, in turn, stressed the importance of further developing relations across all areas in line with the bilateral declaration on strategic cooperation.
Pashinyan also highlighted the importance of deepening cooperation with France in the space sector.
The sides discussed regional developments as well, stressing the need to consistently implement steps aimed at consolidating peace.
