Nearly 50 people burned alive during hospital bombing in Mariupol

Nearly 50 people were burned alive during the bombing of a Mariupol children's hospital by Russian invaders, Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko said during a roundtable on the political and legal implications of Russia's crimes against Ukraine, via video link.

Report informs, citing foreign media, that, according to the mayor, Mariupol, which was until recently a symbol of development, has now been almost completely destroyed by the Russian invaders.

More than 90% of the city's infrastructure has been destroyed. Of this, at least 40% can no longer be rebuilt. The City Council has now established a committee to record the destruction of public and private property. More than 300 such cases have been reported so far. However, the main crime lies in the thousands of Mariupol civilians killed.

"According to preliminary estimates, 5,000 people have been killed in Mariupol alone during the month-long blockade, some 210 of whom are children. Russian terrorist troops dropped several heavy-duty bombs on a children's hospital and destroyed one of the buildings of city hospital No. 1. Nearly 50 people were burned alive. The Drama Theatre, where more than 900 people were hiding from shelling at the time, was bombed. These are just a few examples of the targeting of civilians in Mariupol," he said.
