The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) is in a deplorable state today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers Council in Stockholm.
According to him, there is no progress on the key task facing the OSCE - strengthening security, which is based on cooperation, not confrontation.
"Today, the OSCE is in a deplorable state, it has become a hostage of bloc discipline within the EU and NATO, it is mired in petty topics. Our Western partners are trying to replace international law with some kind of order based on rules - the rules that they establish, proceeding from their own exclusivity," said Lavrov.
